GRANT COUNTY, Minn. — Authorities have identified the two people killed in a head-on crash in a construction zone along Interstate 94 in western Minnesota on Sunday as Harold Ennulat, 73, of Woodbury, and Koleman Lind, 24, of Jamestown, North Dakota.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision occurred shortly before 4 p.m. in Erdahl Township, approximately 10 miles east of Elbow Lake. The crash also left Kari Deann Ennulat, 65, of Woodbury, with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said Harold Ennulat was driving eastbound in a Tesla Model Y, while Lind was traveling westbound in a Ford Fusion. The two vehicles collided in a construction zone where traffic had been temporarily shifted into a head-to-head configuration.

Following the initial impact, a Toyota Crown Signia driven by a 65-year-old woman from Mandan, North Dakota, struck both damaged vehicles, making the incident a three-vehicle crash. The Toyota driver was not injured.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that both Harold Ennulat and Koleman Lind were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and investigators do not believe alcohol was a contributing factor. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Lind served as a graduate assistant coach for the University of Jamestown women’s basketball program. Originally from Pine City, Minnesota, he graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris in 2024 and was pursuing a master’s degree in leadership while coaching with the Jimmies.

The fatal crash has prompted an outpouring of condolences from the University of Jamestown community and those who knew Lind, as family and friends also mourn the loss of Harold Ennulat. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision
